Pediatric Dental Team
Donna, Business Manager
Hi everyone…my name is Donna and I’ve been with NOVA Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics since 2006.
My favorite quote is, “The miracle isn’t that I finished. The miracle is that I had the courage to start” by John J. Bingham. My favorite part of the day is coming home to my three dogs who I love unconditionally. They want goodbye kisses when I leave for work and are full of excitement and ready for their walks when I come through the door in the evening.
Christine, Front Office Coordinator
Hi everyone…My name is Christine and I have been with NOVA Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics since 2007!
My favorite part of the day is in the evening. Between working and doing chores and homework with the kids, it’s definitely great to get some down time in. I will usually watch a show, read, or play Sudoku.
I am always trying to learn something. Once you’re older and out of school, learning may not be at the top of the list. It is to me and I enjoy having a myriad of useless knowledge to pass along.
I love to help locally within our community. Generally, that means helping those in need within my children’s school, at the local food bank, as well as organizations such as Mobile Hope. Whenever I have the means to help, I always include my children. I think it is important for them to know that not everyone lives like they do and that thoughtfulness, generosity, and friendliness go a long way.
Kim, Front Office Coordinator
I find it rewarding to be part of a practice that has great patient relationship and helps to give people beautiful smiles.
My favorite part of the day is when I’m able to see the Sunset. The stunning, warm colours and clear cloud formations make it much easier to capture since I love taking random pictures of nature. It’s a part of the day that you know you’ll be home soon and be with your loved ones.
Tony, Front Office Coordinator
My favorite part of the day is the morning. I get to come in get my cup of coffee say hello to all my office team members and set a good tone for the day.
One thing that brings me joy is to assist people whenever I can be it family, friends, or someone just out in public. I figure it costs you nothing to help someone with a bag pick up something from the grocery store while I’m there for a sick friend.
I like to always try and learn about new technology and finance so I have been studying crypto currency how they work with their blockchains and smart contracts as applied to finance as well as gaming because I do love my video games.
Betty, Professional Relations Coordinator
Hello everyone! My name is Betty and I am a member of the NOVA Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics marketing team.
My favorite quote is, “Be the CHANGE you wish to see in the world.” My favorite time of the day is early mornings. I enjoy having a cup of coffee and reading before the day starts, and my children and Grand Daughters are the joy in my life.
Natasha, Pediatric Dental Assistant
Hi! My name is Natasha, but everyone just calls me Tasha. I’ve been with the team since 2010 and I love it here!
My favorite part of the day is when my patient is super excited to be here and their laughter and smiles are super contagious. Helping others and making people laugh/smiles brings me joy.
Meghan, Pediatric Dental Assistant
Hi There! My name is Meghan and I’m one of the Dental Assistants here at NOVA Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics. I’ve been part of the team since 2013.
Being able to transform a patients smile with a thorough cleaning brings me joy. I want the patients I work with to leave with confidence.
Andie, Pediatric Dental Assistant
Hi everyone! My name is Andie. I started with the NOVA Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontic team in January of 2015.
My favorite part of the day is definitely the mornings! It is great to greet the first patients in the morning! Starting the day right and with a big SMILE always brings positive energy flowing around throughout the day! It also gives me great joy coming home, putting my feet up and getting cozy at the end of the day. This gives me time to reflect on the day’s events and get my self pumped and ready for a brand new day! I’m from Filipino upbringing… everyone knows we can SING! I just choose to do it in private.
Whether I see patients, help Dr. Woo or being the patient myself! I LOVE and LIVE teeth!”
LaQuita, Pediatric Dental Assistant
Hi. My name is LaQuita, and I really enjoy working with kids. I have been a pediatric dental assistant for over 12 years, and have had the pleasure of working with the amazing team at NOVA Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics since mid 2015.
I am an avid reader, I have at least 2 books going at a time, and my Kindle app says I have read every day for the last 3+years. My subject matter is varied, from historical fiction to sci-fi fantasy.
My life has recently changed drastically, my elderly mother has come to live with me and it has been such a blessing to have her with me full-time.
Marjon, Pediatric Dental Assistant
Hello everyone! My name is Marjon. I joined the NOVA Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics team in 2016.
My favorite quote is “I love you to the moon and back” by Sam McBratney – it’s the quote I always say to my son.
Nothing makes you feel happier than to see the smiles on those patient’s faces who walk in with lots of fear and uncertainty…..you know you have their trust now and that was your purpose as to why they were in your chair for that day.
Maiu, Pediatric Dental Assistant
Hi everyone! My name is Maiu. I joined the NOVA Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics team in July of 2017.
It brings me joy that I work with such wonderful people that are more than just my coworkers, they have become great friends. I know I can always count on them at work and outside of work.
The best part of my day is when I can help a patient through a procedure that they were nervous about and at the end they say it was so easy and are leaving happy. It makes me happy to be able to get them through something they didn’t think they are able to do.
Francis, Pediatric Dental Assistant
My favorite part of the day is the time I spend with my family because they are the reason that I wake up everyday and do what I love to do.
Seeing a nervous patient do well on a dental visit brings me joy, and I love watching YouTube videos to learn how to do DIY projects.
Bianca, Social Media Coordinator
What brings me joy? Life itself! Everyday is a new opportunity for growth, to learn something new, and to make a positive impact in the world around you. I find myself at my happiest when I’m doing something creative, traveling & experiencing new cultures, being active, and of course when I get to meet new smiling faces! What do I do to grow? Aside from going to the gym and journaling, I love occasionally picking up a good read or sketching in my fashion journal. I also love learning about self-care and weekly facemasks are my favorite!
Orthodontic Team
Jasmine, Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator
Hi everyone! My name is Jasmine and I have been a part of the NOVA Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics team since 2010.
My favorite quote is, “A smile is a curve that sets everything straight.” I really enjoy working in our office but my favorite time of the day is definitely time with my family! I love picking up my daughter, Claire, from daycare and coming home to two very excited and happy dogs (Bentley and Coco). We play and goof around until Ian, my husband, comes home from work too. Dinner time is also very special because it is the time that we are complete and eat as a family.
Jhoan, Orthodontic Financial Coordinator
Hello everyone, my name is Jhoan and I am the Orthodontic Financial Coordinator. I have been with the practice since 2014.
It brings me joy when I am with my wife and our 2 fur babies, even if that means just sitting on the couch while playing with Emma and Cody. I meditate daily, read self-help books, listen to Jay Shetty’s podcasts and attend free webinars online.
Jam, Orthodontic Scheduling Coordinator
Hi my name is Jam. 2018 brought so many changes in my life; it brought me to NOVA Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
In my spare time, crafting is my favorite hobby. I create my own designs for personalized items. As a member of American Red Cross I donate blood at least once a year.
Allison, Orthodontic Assistant
Hello everyone! My name is Allison and I have been a part of the NOVA Pediatric & Orthodontics team since 2012.
Since I am a new mommy, my favorite part of the day after caring for all of our awesome patients is to pick up my daughter Genesis from daycare. Seeing her smile when I walk into the room lights up my whole world.
I like to give back to our community by participating in 5k’s that support patients of the practice and I love our Santa event that we do around Christmas time. I love how all the kids get excited for their photos with Santa.
Gina, Orthodontic Assistant
Hey y’all! My name is Gina. I joined the NOVA Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics team in 2016. When I graduated from Longwood University in 2008, I knew the dental field was my dream job; I’ve been in Orthodontics ever since. You’ll find me helping Dr. Ullrich make amazing smiles.
When I’m not at work, I love spending time with my husband and daughter. We love cooking and eating together. Do we cook gourmet food on a weeknight? Absolutely! Pets are a big deal in my house. Besides 2 dogs, I also have a bit of an aquarium hobby which includes 5 tanks with 3 aquatic turtles and an assortment of freshwater fish. Do you have any pets? Tell me about them when I see you for your orthodontic appointments!
Liz, Orthodontic Assistant
Hello everyone! My name is Liz and I have been a part of the NOVA Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics team since 2016.
My favorite part of the day is working with my patients on a daily basis. On a personal level, you get to know your patients a lot more closely than in any other patient care. You develop strong emotional connections that inspire you not only on the job, but in life. Knowing that my care, voice, and time can help a patient. Sometimes, it’s the little things that you do for your patients and teams that make a difference.
I get the most joy in life from my boys. The greatest joys of being a mom is receiving that big hug from your child that just ran up to you while returning home from work, and watching their excitement as you do things together that they enjoy.
Heather, Orthodontic Assistant
Hello everyone! My name is Heather and I have been a part of the family at NOVA Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics since 2018.
My favorite time of day is first thing in the morning, before anyone in the house is awake, with a nice cup of coffee and no noise. A peaceful and easy start makes the whole day better. Stressful rushed mornings make for stressful and rushed days.
My favorite quote is, “The greatest adventure is what lies ahead” by J.R.R. Tolkien!
Shannon, Orthodontic Assistant
Hi everyone! My name is Shannon and I have been a part of the NOVA Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics team since 2020.
I’ve been on a journey for self growth for some time now. While I continue to cultivate my mental and physical health, I’ve been beginning to embrace the concept of the autodidact. I’ve been taught for a long time to pick one thing and focus only on that subject. Instead I’ve changed my mindset, listening to audiobooks and researching anything that peaks my interest. I think the most important thing is to take what you learn, no matter how obscure, apply some imagination and see how that knowledge can improve multiple areas of your life. Now I just need to figure out how String Theory and the 9th dimension can help improve a smile. I’ll get back to you on that.
Lisa, Orthodontic Assistant
I feels very fortunate to have been able to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and adults for 20 + years now. Extremely honored and grateful to be a part of a team that is dedicated to their patients while makes everyone feel like family. The most joy for me is forming relationships with my patients and watching them grow throughout the years as they gain more confidence and self-esteem . Seeing the smiles of our patients at the end of their orthodontic journey and the happiness on their faces, fuels my passion for what I love to do everyday.
